hand turned box in pearwood

This is a very pretty box cut from pearwood, it measures 3" round and is 3" high. Polished to a satin gloss in hand rubbed lacquer.

I has straight, clean lines, simpler in appearance, yet there is a delicate and very charming little finial on the top. I a very happy feeling when I first took it off the lathe and held it.
In the end, it comes down to holding it and feeling it.
Some pieces, I just want to hold in my hands; they feel so interesting and enjoyable.
